Mah Jongg (MAH ZHONG) is an old game originating in China about 500 BC. It
is still played around the world, today.

The MUS JONGG variation of the game uses 144 tiles consisting of 36 sets,
each containing 4 matching tiles. The sets include 9 bamboo patterns, 9
dot patterns, 9 "crak" patterns, 3 sets of dragon patterns (although they
don't look like dragons), 1 set of the four seasons, 1 set of the four winds,
and 1 set of four flowers.

The object is to remove all of the tiles. Matching tiles are removed from
the sides of the game table, 2 at a time. The tiles must be able to be slid
off to the right or left without bumping into another tile. MUS JONGG will
not let you make an illegal play. Clicking the PEEK icon will tell you if
there are any plays left on the game table. If there are none, you are done.

The game is played by clicking the mouse on the tiles and/or the various
icons on the screen. There are help screens available in the program which
explain all of the icons. The main help screen is viewed by clicking the
icon in the lower right hand corner of the screen.

MUS JONGG can be played on any IBM PC/XT/AT/386 or compatible computer with
CGA (or CGA emulation), color monitor, 256Kb and a mouse. The MUS JONGG
files are: MJ.EXE - the MUS JONGG program
MJ.PAT - the tile and icon graphics file
MJREADME.EXE - this program (not required to run MUS JONGG)

Put the ".EXE" and ".PAT" files on a floppy or in a subdirectory on your hard
disk. Change to the floppy or hard drive directory and key "MJ". You must
have your mouse driver software loaded prior to running MUS JONGG.

You are encouraged to pass MUS JONGG along to your friends. If you do, make
sure you give them all three of the files (unmodified), mentioned above.

I had a lot of fun writing this, even to the point of some silliness. I hope
you enjoy playing the game.
