There are two ways to search through
this database: by category or by using
the word search feature.

CATEGORY: There are seven different
categories to choose from, such as
"Location." When you choose a category
you will see a list of the
subcategories. For example, under the
category "Location" is the subcategory
"Pacific." Choose a subcategory.

The program will search the database
for all states that are located
("Location") in the Pacific states
("Pacific"). The program will tell you
how many entries it finds.

You may search under any of the
categories. Each time you choose a
subcategory, you will narrow your
search to fewer and fewer states.

Choose "Look at Entries" to read the
entries you found in your search.

Choose "List of Entries" to read a list
of the entries (states) you found in
your search.

Choose "Clear Category" to clear a
subcategory from your search, or
"Clear" from the main menu to clear
your entire search.

WORD SEARCH: You may search for a word,
group of characters, or number in the
database. For example, if you type in
DEVIL, the program will search the
database and find two entries. One
entry has the word "Mandeville" in it.
The program will find the characters
DEVIL in "ManDEVILle."

The second entry has the word DEVIL in
"Devil's Tower."

Read your handbook for more
